Northern Arizona University has multiple Graduate Assistant positions within the Athletic Department available for Fall 2015. The positions begin in August 2015 and are 1-year (9-10 month) appointments with the potential to be renewed upon a successful performance evaluation.
The program will provide Graduate Assistants with practical, professional experiences. The GAs are members of the department staff and will be fully exposed to the daily operations of a Division I Athletics Department in preparation for a future in the business of intercollegiate athletics.
Benefits may include full or partial tuition waivers, monthly stipend and/or books scholarships.
Graduate Assistant Game Management/Facilities
Northern Arizona University, located in Flagstaff, Arizona, is seeking applications for a graduate assistant to serve as the Game Management Coordinator for all home athletic events. This 9 month position will be responsible for all aspects of event management including, but not limited to, serving as the primary game manager for all home athletic events, oversight of event set ups and tear downs, supervising a staff of student workers, and coordinating scheduling and payment of table crews for events.
Admission to the Graduate College and ability to work nights and weekends are required.
Graduate school tuition waiver, books, and a $9,000 stipend will be provided. No benefits provided.

Graduate Assistant Ticketing & Special Events
Northern Arizona University Athletics is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Graduate Assistant position within the Season Ticket and Special Events Office. The position will report to the Director of Ticketing & Special Events and assist in all aspects of the season ticket operation and athletics department special events.
QUALIFICATIONS: Student must have a Bachelor’s degree and credentials to be accepted into a graduate program at Northern Arizona University. Special consideration will be given to those who are former student-athletes, want to enter the Intercollegiate Athletic industry, and/or specifically special events, ticketing and development. Previous experience working in a collegiate athletic office is preferred. Must be able to work evenings and some weekends.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

▪ Possess strong organizational, interpersonal and computer skills
Become a team member of the external relations staff at Northern Arizona University. This includes, but will not be limited to: assisting with the coordination and implementation of athletic special events; including Hall of Fame, Wine & Dine in the Pines, reunions, and recognition events. Student will also assist with the selling, invoicing, processing, printing and distribution of all athletic ticketed events. Commit to following all rules and regulations required by NAU Department of Athletics, Arizona Board of Regents, the NCAA and the Big Sky Conference.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment is contingent upon admission to the Graduate College as a degree seeking graduate student. As a condition for renewal, the Graduate Assistant must remain in good academic standing with Graduate Program. Begins Fall 2015 through Spring 2016 (with option of renewal, contingent on Master’s Program requirements). Compensation will include a stipend, tuition waiver, and course related textbooks. Graduate students may purchase the university student health care plan, which is not provided by athletics.
