Megan Greene has joined the academic staff as the Assistant Director of Academic Services after being an assistant coach for the NAU Volleyball team from 2005-2013. Greene will assist in the academic progress of student athletes as well as teach EPS 199 (Learning Skills for Student-Athletes) and help with NCAA Student-Athlete Affairs programming, including community service and outreach, and academic and career development. She will work primarily with Soccer, Track & Field, Cross Country, and Men's and Women's Tennis.
Greene graduated from NAU in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. While at NAU, Greene was a student-athlete on the volleyball team. During her career, Greene was a member of NAU's Big Sky Conference Tournament Champion team in 1999, Big Sky Regular Season Co-Champion team in 2000, and is also inducted into the NAU Hall of Fame with her 1999 team. Greene was a four-time Golden Eagle recipient and a three-time Academic All-Big Sky honoree.
After graduating from NAU in 2002, Greene taught 4th grade in Las Vegas, Nev. for 2 years and also worked as a tutor for various grades. While teaching, Greene was responsible for teaching required state standards and curriculum and she was also part of the Individualized Education Program team which helped create and organize educational plans for students with special needs.
Returning to NAU in 2005, Greene became the NAU Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach. While coaching she served as the academic liaison for volleyball, working closely with the academic support staff, assisting in running study hall for the team while traveling and also tutoring players and teaching them organizational skills.
Greene earned her Master's Degree in Education in 2007 from NAU.
