Fifteen Student-Athletes Participate in Fall Commencement

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Fifteen Northern Arizona University student-athletes participated in Thursday's Fall 2013 commencement ceremonies at the Walkup Skydome and were commissioned degrees.

Northern Arizona University's December commencement today welcomed 2,500 new undergraduate and graduate students to the NAU alumni family during two ceremonies here in Flagstaff.

Of the athletics' department's graduates, the football led with four graduates this semester while the women's tennis and soccer programs each produced three graduates. The women's basketball team saw two of their former student-athletes participate in the ceremonies, while volleyball, men's tennis and cross country and track & field each were represented by single graduates.

The student-athlete graduates ranged from Australia to France to the United States, spanning four states (Arizona, California, Florida and Oregon).
