FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona University Athletics participated in the annual Red Ribbon Week throughout the community last week, from Oct. 20-24. A total of 134 student-athletes participated in Red Ribbon Week visiting local schools, speaking with Flagstaff's youth and interacting with them in athletic activities.

The Lumberjack student-athletes spoke to the students at nine schools across town about what Red Ribbon Week meant to them. Among the topics that were discussed included the importance of making smart choices and the differences between positive and negative peer pressure. The student-athletes also spoke how about how they got to where they are today by answering questions and sharing their stories.
