Student Athletes Assist with Welcome Week

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – More than 230 student-athletes from various sports assisted with Northern Arizona University’s Welcome Weekend, helping new and returning students with the move into the residential housing on campus.

“The student athletes are a valuable part of the Welcome Jacks program,” said LeAnne Jones Wiles, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Orientation/New Student Programs. “They volunteer throughout the entire campus and are key to helping new and returning Lumberjacks feel welcomed. They were a tremendous help!”

Representatives from men’s and women’s basketball, cheer and dance, men’s and women’s cross country, football, women’s golf, swimming and diving and volleyball are conducting move ins and working information booths across campus.
