Randy Hale Jr. Named CFPA National Defensive Back of the Week

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Junior defensive back Randy Hale Jr. made quite an impression in his first start of the season to earn College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) National Defensive Back of the Week.

The Buckeye, Ariz. native recorded both of NAU's interceptions in its 24-7 win over Northern Colorado at home. Hale Jr.'s pick-six came in the second quarter when he intercepted Seth Lobato's pass and returned it for a 46-yard touchdown. Hale Jr.'s second interception came with 3:24 to go in the game. He intercepted Lobato once again, this time in the end zone to seal the victory for the Lumberjacks. Hale Jr. also had two tackles and two pass breakups in NAU's victory.
