Three Lumberjacks Named to College Sports Madness All-American FCS Football Teams

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona football team placed three players on the College Sports Madness All-American FCS Football Teams, announced today by the website. Seniors Lucky Dozier and Anders Battle, along with junior R.J. Rickert all received honors.

Dozier, a safety from Sacramento, Calif., earned second team All-American honors after being named to the third team last season. He finished second on the team in tackles with 77, including a team-high 57 unassisted tackles. He had one forced fumble, one recovered fumble, nine pass breakups and three interceptions for a total of 85 yards.

Anders Battle was a third team selection at cornerback. The Phoenix, Ariz. native finished sixth on the team in tackles with 51. He tallied a team-high 10 pass breakups, in addition to 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one quarterback hurry, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pick-six for 49 yards.

R.J. Rickert, a tight end from Gilbert, Ariz., was named to the third team. He was a solid blocker for running back Zach Bauman all season. When he wasn't blocking, Rickert was able to register 246 yards on 22 catches.
