FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona Football Blue-Gold Spring Game that was scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Lumberjack Stadium has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The game was originally scheduled to be aired live on FOX Sports Arizona and FOX Sports College Pacific. The fan fest activities will go on as scheduled, but have been moved inside the Health and Learning Center (HLC). Fan fest will run from 12-4:30 p.m.
"Unfortunately due to the combination of the weather and field conditions we have decided to postpone the spring game," said head coach Jerome Souers. "We are a mentally tough football program, but in this scenario we feel it's important to not only think about the safety of the players, but to also think about the long-term effects to the turf of Lumberjack Stadium. Our plan is to postpone the scrimmage until tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. on our normal practice facility. We encourage everyone to come out and support the Lumberjacks tomorrow."
