NAU Men’s Hoops Draws Northern Colorado in the First Round of the Big Sky Tournament

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – No. 3 Northern Arizona men's basketball will play No. 6 Northern Colorado in the first round of the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. The tournament is hosted by Weber State in Ogden, Utah and is set to begin on Thursday, March 13. The Lumberjacks will play the Bears at 4:30 p.m. at the Dee Events Center. 

Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado faced off twice this season with the Bears taking both contests. The Lumberjacks fell 87-72 in Greeley, and then dropped a 74-59 decision to the Bears at home.

This is the second straight year that NAU has qualified for the conference tournament. The Lumberjacks' third place finish in the Big Sky is the best since 2008 when NAU finished second.

Three-way tie at 12-8.

UND went 3-1 vs. UM and NAU

NAU went 2-2 vs. UND/UM

UM was 1-3 vs. UND/NAU


Two-way tie at 11-9

PSU swept Sacramento State.


Two-way tie at 10-10.

EWU and SAC State split. Sac State went 1-1 vs. No. 1 vs. Weber State. EWU went 0-2 vs. Weber State
