FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – This Saturday, the Phoenix Suns will be hosting a free intrasquad scrimmage at the Walkup Skydome to close out training camp. Doors open at 11 a.m., with tip-off set for 12 p.m. Fans should come early to get a good seat.
Make sure to stop by the NAU Athletics and Phoenix Suns marketing tables for free goodies. There will be a postgame autograph session with the Suns immediately following the scrimmage on the floor.
Suns Head Coach Earl Watson said fans should expect, "Fun and basketball. Our guys have a lot of positive energy."
Bringing added energy to the building will be the Suns' dancers and The Gorilla. NAU Athletics will have the pep band, cheer squad, and Louie in attendance to pump the crowd up.
Opportunities for "Enter to Win" prizes will be offered throughout the game for fans.
It's the 20th time NAU and the City of Flagstaff have hosted the team's training camp and the fourth straight year after the Suns returned in 2013 for the first time since 2004.
The Suns open their preseason schedule at home against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m., at Talking Stick Resort Arena to tip-off a six-game preseason schedule in preparation for the club's 49th NBA season.
