Men’s Tennis Adds Wins on Second Day of Aggie Invitational

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Junior Robin Pezzutto and sophomore Hugo Ramadier earned back draw singles victories on the second day of play in the season-opening Aggie Invitational in Las Cruces. The tournament concludes on Sunday.

Pezzutto cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Simon Hegelund of New Mexico. Ramadier faced New Mexico State's Armando Morales and rallied for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 win. Juniors Josh Brown and Andrew Reiff fell in the only other reported matches for NAU on Saturday.

Sunday's conclusion of tournament play includes championship matches in both singles brackets as well as semifinal and final matches in doubles, including a match for Brown and sophomore Patrick Schimmelbauer against a duo from New Mexico State.

DID YOU KNOW… The Lumberjacks had 11 of their 15 intercollegiate teams record a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher led by women's soccer at 3.42. Women's basketball was close behind at 3.38, followed by women's cross country (3.38), volleyball (3.33), women's golf (3.31), men's cross country (3.26) and swimming and diving (3.22).
