FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona men's tennis team will play its third straight match in Tucson to open the season. Saturday's matchup will be against Gonzaga who has started the season 2-0. The Lumberjacks are coming off their first win of the season against UC Riverside in Tucson last weekend. Junior Alan Barrios clinched the win for NAU to give the Lumberjacks a 4-3 win and give first year head coach Ki Kroll his first win at Northern Arizona.

Northern Arizona played exceptionally well in singles play last week against as the team went 4-2 against UC Riverside. The Lumberjacks received wins from junior Jordan Gobatie at No. 1, freshman Alexandre Locci at No. 2, junior Kester Black at No. 5 and sealing the win was Barrios at No. 6.
Number One Spot
Gobatie's start at Northern Arizona has been a good one after a successful weekend at the No. 1 spot in Tucson, Ariz. The transfer from Riverside Community College is 1-1 in the No. 1 slot, winning his last match against UC Riverside by a score of 6-1, 6-0.
Gonzaga will be the third of seven matches to start out the season before Northern Arizona gets to their conference schedule in March. This will be the final match for NAU in Tucson this season as the Lumberjacks' first three matches of the season were down in the Old Pueblo.
