FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – After going 2-0 last weekend against in-state rival Grand Canyon and the defending Big Sky Champions, Sacramento State, the Northern Arizona men's tennis team will carry that momentum into this week's matchups against Big Sky Conference opponents, Eastern Washington and Portland State.
This will be the 13th meeting all-time between Northern Arizona and Eastern Washington with the Lumberjacks holding a 7-5 advantage. Portland State and NAU will be facing off for the 11th time in the school's history with NAU winning nine of the 11 matches.

Lumberjacks Getting Hot at the Right Time
NAU is progressively getting better and better throughout the season and with the Big Sky Championships in sight, Kroll's squad is playing their best tennis at the right time. After a 2-0 week taking down Grand Canyon and defeating the Big Sky Champions, Sacramento State, the Lumberjacks have won six of their last eight matches.
Close to the Finish Line
The Lumberjacks have won four of their last five Big Sky Conference matches and have their sights now set on the Big Sky Championships. The men control their destiny and with three matches left in the season, the Lumberjacks are close to reaching their goal of making the tournament. The Lumberjacks' final three matches are against Big Sky opponents that are below NAU in the standings.
