OGDEN, Utah – Sophomore Lucas Taylor was named the Big Sky Player of the Week today, March 1, in his second season of action for Northern Arizona University men's tennis. He first came to NAU from London, England and has since gone 15-8 in singles overall and 11-6 in doubles overall.

"Lucas is a very strong competitor, bringing his best effort each time we compete," said Director of Tennis Ki Kroll. "He has become a player the team can always depend on."

Taylor is currently leading the Lumberjacks in wins so far this season on court three. He has won five in singles on a three-match win streak and two in doubles paired with No. 18 Tim Handel. The following day he started the match off with the first doubles win over Seattle University's Michael Schoettler and John Stormans 6-1. He faced Schoettler again in singles winning 6-0, 6-4 in a dominating match.
