OGDEN, Utah – For the second-consecutive week, Lumberjack Brooke Andersen's hot start to the indoor season has earned her the Big Sky's Women Field Athlete of the Week honor—announced Monday afternoon.

Even though Northern Arizona is just two meets into 2017, Andersen appears to be in mid-season form. As she did last week, the redshirt-junior once again broke the NAU school weight throw record, surpassing the mark she set at Friday Night Duels with an even better throw Saturday—67-04.75, 20.54m. Andersen slid up from fifth-best all-time in the Big Sky to second with that heave at the Walkup Skydome, and she currently ranks 10th in the NCAA. A smart individual would have to think that with the way Andersen is throwing in 2017 and the conference record at 68-0.25 (20.73m), she has a great chance to break that mark as well—which could come as early as Saturday, Feb. 4, at NAU's Mountain T's.

As was the case last week, Andersen won the women's weight throw event, marking her 13th-career individual victory (five in the weight, eight in the hammer).
