IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A LUMBERJACK

The new vision and direction of NAU Athletics over the past two years is now supported with a bold new visual identity. NAU Athletics unveiled a new logo and mascot over the weekend at two high-spirited celebrations. The new logo and mascot replace a decade-old design. Our new visual identity truly captures the essence of Lumberjack spirit and Northern Arizona pride.

THE FIRST ANNUAL LOUIE’S

We have all heard of The ESPY’s, an annual ceremony hosted by cable sports channel, ESPN. An ESPY award is an accolade which recognizes individual and team athletic achievement in the United States at both the professional and amateur levels.

This year the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at NAU is hosting The Louie’s, a first-of-its-kind athletics award ceremony. The Louie’s take place tonight at Prochnow Auditorium on the NAU campus. Student-athletes will arrive on the Blue Carpet at 6:15 p.m. The award ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m. Some of the awards that will be presented include: Female and Male Athlete of the Year, Team of the Year, Jack That Gives Back for community service, and Moment of the Year. All student-athletes will be in attendance and dressed to impress. Photos and results to follow!

OUR WEEK IN PHOTOS

We had a busy week of workouts, youth clinics and the celebration of the new visual identity, before heading into an even busier week of study hall and finals.
