Women’s Golf Edged by Northridge; Stephanie Kim and Bremer Third Overall

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Northern Arizona women's golf team finished second by a single stroke at the Lamkin Grip Cal Poly Invitational and freshman Stephanie Kim and senior Meghan Bremer tied for third overall Tuesday.

NAU was seeking its fourth tournament title of the fall season.

Kim shot a two-under par 70, while Bremer posted a collegiate best 72 to share team-best finishes. Junior Alexa Kim was 10th overall with a 75 in the second round. Senior Megan Buck also carded a 75 to finish tied for 13th overall. Dakin Banta had a 77 for the second consecutive day.

Cal State Northridge edged Northern Arizona by one stroke, 591-592, for the team title. Xavier (Ohio) was third at 602, followed by Sacramento State (603) and Cal Poly (611).

Ashlee Nagamine of Cal-State Northridge shot a tournament best 66 to claim individual honors and help the Matadors edge the Lumberjacks.
