Women’s Golf 14th at Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona women’s golf team is 14th after two rounds of the Mountain View Collegiate. Junior Dakin Banta is the top Lumberjack after 36 holes in a tie for 36th with freshman Stephanie Kim carding the best round of the day with a 73 in the second round.

NAU posted rounds of 307 and 308 to lead Washington State, Gonzaga, Sacramento State and Boise State in the 18-team field. The Lumberjacks are just three strokes out of the top 10 with four teams tied at 612.

Banta posted rounds of 74 and 78 on the first day, while Stephanie Kim rebounded from an 80 in the first round to record a one-over par 73 in the second round. Junior Alexa Kim posted a 76 and 79, while Aleah Kim had rounds of 77 and 78. Senior Megan Buck had scores of 84 and 83.

The third and final round will be contested on Saturday morning.
