Women’s Golf Stands in Fourth After Two Rounds at Wyoming Cowgirl
CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona women's golf team is fourth after the first two rounds of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic after recording rounds of 307-299 on Monday. The Lumberjacks trail Portland State, New Mexico State and Texas El Paso after the first 36 holes.
Senior Bethany Leclair is the top Lumberjack overall in a tie for 11th. She is four-over par after the first two rounds, posting scores of 75 and 73. Sophomore Stephanie Kim is two strokes back after back-to-back rounds of 75, tying for 15th at 150.
Freshman Jessie Joachim played as an individual, shooting an 86 in the first round before improving with a 77 in the second round.
The third and final round will be contested on Tuesday.
Britney Yada of Portland State leads the tournament at three-under par, posting rounds of 71 and 70. The Vikings lead the field by 17 strokes overall.
