ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Three players shot rounds in the 70s as the Northern Arizona women's golf team posted a 312 in the final round of the Branch Law Firm Dick McGuire Invitational. NAU finished a 59-over par 935, one stroke back of Wyoming, in 18th overall.
"We had a different person help every day," said Bedortha. "The quality of the field was very good and the course was harder. We have the ability to play well. We just have work on the fourth score to be more consistent. It was a great experience and we know what we need to work on for the next tournament."
Sophomore Kaitlen Parsons was the top finisher with her third consecutive round in the 70s. After opening with a one-under par 72 in the first round, she posted back-to-back scores of three-over par 76 in finish in a tie for 17th at five-over par 224.
Junior Stephanie Kim was six strokes back in a tie for 48th. She had a two-over par 75 for the second straight round after posting an 80 over the first 18 holes of the tournament. Sophomore
Jessie Joachim carded a five-over 78 in the round after shooting 77-85 to finish at 240.
"We needed that bounce back effort from Jessie," said Bedortha.
