PALM DESERT, Calif. – Sophomore Kaitlen Parsons shot an even-par 72 for the second consecutive round to finish second at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Invitational hosted by Wyoming at The Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
"Kaitlen is playing well and is very fun to watch," said Head Coach Brad Bedortha. "She goes about her business and shoots a 72."
Parsons finished four strokes back if individual winner Christine Wong of San Diego State, who closed with a three-under par 69 to finish at even-par 216. Parsons carded rounds of 76-72-72 to record a four-over 222 over the 54-hole tournament.
Junior Stephanie Kim tied for 10th overall after a five-over par 77 to finish at 13-over par 229.
The Lumberjacks finished with a 313 team score to place sixth in the team standings, three strokes back of fifth-place San Francisco.
The Lumberjacks are off until the first week in November when they close out their fall season at the Cal Poly Lamkin Grip Women's Invitational.
