The Lumberjacks are coming off a fifth-place finish at the Red Rocks Invitational last weekend in Sedona. NAU was led by junior Stephanie Kim, who tied for fifth overall in the individual standings.

Kim was named the Big Sky Golfer of the Week on Thursday for her performance in the tournament. Kim, from Tempe, Ariz., shot rounds of 77, 75 for an eight-over-par 152 in the 36-hole tournament played at the Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz., on March 3-4.

"It is a huge confidence builder for her," said Northern Arizona coach Brad Bedortha. "She needed that."

Kim helped Northern Arizona to a fifth-place finish in the 20-team tournament. NAU shot rounds of 319, 313 for a 632. Northern Arizona was tops among the six Big Sky teams in the event. Eastern Michigan won the tournament with a 603. Seattle's Caitlin McCleary was the individual champion, five shots in front of Kim.
