Women’s Golf Finishes Ninth at BYU Tournament

ST. GEORGE, Utah. – The Northern Arizona women's golf team completed play at the BYU at Entrada Classic Tuesday with a 321 in the final round to finish ninth overall.

The Lumberjacks three-day total of 966 was just behind Southern Utah (964) and beat Weber State (968) by two strokes. Texas State won the team title by eight strokes over Oklahoma State, who produced individual winner Kelsey Vines. She posted an even-par 216 after a two-under par 70 in the final round.

Sophomore Kaitlen Parsons led the Lumberjacks, tying for 24th overall with a 235 after a seven-over par 79 in the final round. Freshman Darian Spivey posted a six-over par 78 in the third round to tie for 33rd at 238, recording her best collegiate finish. Junior Stephanie Kim had the best round on the day with a five-over par 77, finishing four strokes back at 242 for the three-round event.

Freshman Laura Jabczenski had an 89 on Tuesday, while Melissa Olson recorded an 87. Classmate Susana Mejia had an 88 in the final round playing as an individual.
