Women’s Golf Signs California Product Sottile
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - JoJo Sottile has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to attend Northern Arizona University to play golf, Head Coach Brad Bedortha announced Wednesday.
Sottile, a product of La Reina High School in Thousand Oaks, Calif., posted a 37.7 stroke average. She was medalist in 11 of 15 matches this season and was a CIF Southern Section finalist. She earned Tri-Valley first-team honors, placing third at the league championship. She also helped her team to a second-place league finish and sixth place finish at CIF Regionals. She was a four-year starter for coach Brian Creps.
"She is a solid individual," said Bedortha. "She is a good student who goes to a very difficult high school. She is a little under the radar because she has not played many tournaments outside her area. But she had a very good high school career. I am excited to see how much more she can progress. She has a chance to come in and play for us without a doubt."
She also considered Nebraska, Hawaii and Portland State in the recruiting process.
