Women’s Golf Team Seventh at Red Rocks Invite

SECOND ROUND PAIRINGS (PDF)

SEDONA, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona women's golf team is seventh after the first day of action at the Red Rocks Invitational after shooting a 311 team score.

Cal-State Northridge leads the tournament by one stroke at 303 over Toledo and Southern Utah, who each posted a 304. Weber State recorded a 305 and Grand Canyon recorded a 308 to round out the top five teams.

Weber State's Kelsey Chugg, who won The Lumberjack at Ocotillo three weeks ago, shot a one-under par 71 to lead by one stroke over Paige Crawford of Montana State in the individual standings.

Freshman Savana Bezdicek led the Lumberjacks with a three-over par 75 to tie for 13th. Junior Kaitlen Parsons was one stroke back with a 76. Senior Stephanie Kim posted a seven-over 79.

Sophomores Melissa Olson and Darian Spivey each carded an 81 in the first round.

Susana Mejia shot an 84, while Laura Jabczenski had an 85 in the first round playing as individuals.

The second and final round will be contested on Sunday morning at 8 a.m.
