Swimming and Diving Set for 27th Annual Blue vs. Gold Meet

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona swimming and diving will compete in the Blue vs. Gold exhibition at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Wall Aquatic Center. Friday’s meet will be the final preseason event prior to the start of the 2009-10 season on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Las Cruces, N.M.

The women will participate in the 27th annual Blue vs. Gold meet, an intrasquad competition which splits the NAU roster into two teams that compete in 12 events.

The Gold team will look to record its second consecutive win after losing to the Blue team the previous two years. They took the first three events last year and eight of 12 overall.

The Lumberjacks only other competition so far this fall was at the 14th Annual Pentathlon last month. Freshman Fiona Campbell took top honors setting an unofficial pool record in the 100 backstroke.
