Women's Tennis Concludes Mountain Regional Championship

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Northern Arizona women's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Mountain Regional Championships on Friday with two singles matches. Junior Malia Wahinepio was defeated by Juliette Legendre of Nevada, 6-3, 6-2. Junior Nicole Perez was the other Lumberjack to play on Friday, falling to Kristina Voytsekhovich of Utah State, 6-3, 7-6.

Freshman Hannah Stone went 2-1 in three days at the Mountain Regional Championship and advanced to the third round of the main draw to highlight the Lumberjacks. As a team, the Lumberjacks were 4-7 in singles play over the course of the tournament and 1-2 in doubles.

After having just two days off from competition in the last two weeks, the Lumberjacks will take a few weeks off before returning to the court at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational in Tempe beginning November 4.
