Chiara Tomasetti became the first NAU women's tennis player to win the ITA Mountain Regional Championship when she defeated Denver's Arisha Ladhani, 6-3, 6-1 in the final on Sunday, Oct. 14. Tomasetti, the No. 4 seed, won seven matches in five days to qualify for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. She was dominant, dropping just one set in her seven matches this week. Furthermore, nine of her 14 set wins were by scores of 6-0 or 6-1.
