Monique King had the highlight performance as the NAU swimming & diving team competed at the National Invitational Championship last week. On the final day, King placed third overall in the 1000 freestyle, turning in a time of 9:59.97 on Saturday, March 16. King also made the finals in the 500 freestyle and placed 18th with a time of 4:53.51. King also swam on the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relays as the Lumberjacks wound up in 19th place as a team at their first-ever NIC appearance.
