Luis Grijalva became just the fourth Lumberjack men's track & field athlete to advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships as a true freshman since 2009 when he secured his spot to Eugene in the 1,500m on Saturday, May 26. Grijalva clocked a time of 3:43.58 performance and was one of seven Lumberjacks to advance to the national championships. He also turned in a 32nd place finish in the 5,000m at the NCAA West Regional in Sacramento with a time of 14:16.95.
