Abby Akin averaged 2.69 kills and hit .424 in the NAU volleyball team's three matches of the Lumberjack Classic last weekend. She was named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week and to the Lumberjack Classic All-Tournament Team. She was pivotal in NAU's upset of No. 8 Florida on Sept. 7, matching her season-best with 14 kills on .333 hitting. She also matched her career-high of three solo blocks against the Gators.
