Men's Basketball Signs Riverside CC Product Redmon

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Danny
Redmon, a 6-2 guard from Riverside Community College, has signed a
National Letter-of-Intent to attend Northern Arizona University in
the fall of 2010 to play basketball, Head Coach Mike Adras
announced Tuesday.
“Danny is an exceptional person and basketball
player,” said Head Coach Mike Adras. “He is an
outstanding student. We are getting somebody who wins. He led his
team to the California Junior College state championship last
season. He has proven himself both on the court and in the
classroom. We are very excited about Danny Redmon joining our
basketball program next year.”
Redmon led Riverside CC to a 30-7 record and the California State
Junior College Championship last season. He averaged 10 points, 4
rebounds and 6 assists per game, earning All-Orange Empire
Conference first-team honors.
A native of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif, Redmon attended Upland High
School, earning All-Baseline League first team, All-CIF Division IA
first team, Inland Valley Player of the Year honors. He was also
selected to the Cal-Hi All-State team and was a nominee for the
McDonald's All-American. He averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds
and 7 assists as a senior. He originally signed with the Air Force
Academy out of high school.
