LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) recently announced its 4th annual Girls High School All-America Teams with Northern Arizona volleyball recruit Niki Small (Ashland, Ore.) receiving honorable mention honors.  She will join the NAU volleyball team next fall.

Small, a 6-1 middle blocker at Ashland High School, recorded 4.2 kills-per-set with a .610 hitting percentage during her senior season. She was the reigning player of the year for the Southern Sky Conference, earned Southern Sky first team the past two seasons and has been named Amateur Athlete of the Week for Southern Oregon.

Small's match-highs this year include 19 kills, 14 service aces and seven blocks.

She is also an honor roll student and active in student programs such as the Student-Athlete Leadership Team at Ashland.

The 100 players selected All-Americans represented 27 states and 81 high schools.
