OGDEN, Utah- The Big Sky indoor track and field All-Conference Team was announced Monday by the conference office. The team consists of the athletes who finished in the top-three of events at the 2009 Championship and contains a total of 26 Lumberjacks.

Northern Arizona dominated the men's side with 17 members. The Lumberjacks scored 184 points, breaking the previous Big Sky Championship record of 170.5 set by Weber State in 2002. Rodney Overton, who won the 200 and 400 meters, led the Lumberjacks. He also contributed to Northern Arizona's third-place finish in the 1,600 meters relay. Overton was named the Co-Male Track Athlete of the Meet.

The men's weight throw placed three Lumberjacks on the list thanks to the sweep by Curtis Durocher, Pascal Tang, and Ian Nunya.

The distance events were also dominated by Northern Arizona. No one runner did it all for the Lumberjacks, as they collected nearly a third of their point total from the 3,000 and 5,000 meter runs. John Killian has now been named to three Big Sky All-Conference teams with his closing effort in the distance medley relay.

The NAU women completed the sweep of the championship for the Lumberjacks by scoring 116.5 points. Much like the men's squad, a large amount of that score was collected in the distance races. Veronica Pohl dominated the mile and the 3,000 collecting 20 points for the team.

The NAU men saw 22 total awards spread over the 17 individual recipients, and 12 honors go to the nine women listed.
