Landry Signs New Contract After Successful First Pro Season

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Former Big
Sky standout Kyle Landry had a successful first professional season
overseas after completing his Lumberjack career in 2008.
Landry made the All-Poland first
team selected by eurobasket.com and played in the all-star game.
After completing the season in Poland, Landry signed with a team in
Belgium for two months to finish their season and helped the team
reach the finals.
Landry, a native of Canada,
recently signed a contract for a team called Prostejov in the Czech
Republic. He averaged 12.2 points and 10.3 rebounds in 25 games for
ISS Sportino Inowroclaw in Poland last season, shooting 51.3
percent from the field in 30 minutes a game. He had a season high
26 points against Znicz J. and 26 rebounds in a game versus
Polonia.
Landry has several former teammates
in the ranks in Europe. Ruben Boykin, Jr. played for Fileni Bpa
Jesi in Italy. He scored 12.0 points per game and grabbed 7.2
rebounds for his team in Italy. Stephen Sir scored 10.4 points per
game for Sdent BBC Nyon in Switzerland, shooting better than 41
percent from three-point land.
