FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Former Marshall coach Jack Lengyel, the inspiration behind the movie "We Are Marshall", former NFL Pro Bowler Ron Wolfley, the Voice of the Arizona Cardinals and NAU Head Football Coach Jerome Souers will speak at the first Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks Football Kickoff Banquet on August 11 at Ardrey Auditorium on the NAU campus. The event is sponsored by KAFF.

Tickets to the event include a summer buffet from Jotini's on the Green. Prices start at $30 for admission and the buffet. The VIP package for $45 includes admission, the buffet, VIP seating with and a meet and greet opportunity with the featured speakers. The VIP Plus package for $100 includes a NAU football season ticket in addition to the VIP package. Fans that have already purchased a 2009 football season ticket will be able to purchase the VIP package for $30.

Lengyel is the former coach of Marshall University's 'Thundering Herd' football team. He coached Marshall from 1971 to 1974 following a plane crash that killed nearly the entire team in 1970. A graduate of the University of Akron, Lengyel has since worked for many athletic departments in the U.S. including Louisville (1980), Missouri (1981-84, 1987-88), Fresno State (1985-86) and most recently the United States Naval Academy (1988-2001).

Wolfley played for the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals from 1985 to 1991. He was selected four times to the Pro Bowl as a special teams captain. Wolfley played collegiately for West Virginia. He currently co-hosts a morning sports talk show on KTAR in Phoenix with Doug Franz entitled Doug and Wolf and is the Arizona Cardinals' color analyst on the radio.

NAU football coach Jerome Souers will also speak along with a special guest from the Arizona Cardinals.
