ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. – The Northern Arizona women's golf team is second overall after the first day of action of the 2010 Lamkin Grip Cal Poly Women's Invitational. The Lumberjacks were led by sophomore Stephanie Kim and freshman Kaitlyn Parsons, who each carded three-over par rounds of 76 over the Cypress Ridge Golf Course layout.

Senior Alexa Kim is tied for 13^th after a round of 77, while senior Dakin Whitmer had an 81 in the opening round. Freshman Catherine Benscoter carded a 92 after 18 holes.

The second and final round will be contested on Tuesday.

It marked the 12^th semester out of the last 13 overall that the Lumberjack student-athletes have recorded a 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher. Since 1998, NAU student athletes have earned a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher in 22 out of 24 semesters.
