Men's Basketball Player Rogers Claims Hoops Honor

Utah - Northern Arizona's Gabe Rogers has been selected as
the Big Sky Conference men's basketball player of the week
after scoring a career-high 31 points in a road victory over
Pepperdine.
Rogers, a
6-foot-2, sophomore guard from Houston, Texas, drained a
career-high seven 3-pointers, and made 12-of-18 shots from the
field. Rogers missed just one of his 3-point attempts en route to
eclipsing his previous career-high in scoring of 20 points. Rogers
also tied a career-high with four rebounds, dished out three
assists, had two steals and no turnovers.
Rogers
helped the Lumberjacks to their fourth straight victory. Northern
Arizona has won road games in Georgia over Kennesaw State and at
Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif., during its four-game winning
streak.
This is
Rogers' first career player of the week honor.
