2010 Football Schedule Announced

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona football team will open the 2010 football season against Western New Mexico on Sept. 2 in a special Thursday night contest to kickoff the five-game home schedule at the Walkup Skydome.

The Lumberjacks will play four consecutive road games starting with an in-instate game against Arizona State on Sept. 11. NAU will open Big Sky Conference play on Sept. 25 at Idaho State after a bye week (Sept. 18) before concluding non-conference play at Southern Utah on Oct. 2 in Cedar City, Utah. Big Sky play will resume for NAU at Eastern Washington on Oct. 9 before the Lumberjacks play four of their final six games at home, looking for their first Football Championship Subdivision playoff appearance since 2003.

NAU will host Montana State (Oct. 16) for Family Weekend and Sacramento State (Oct. 30) for Homecoming in October and close the regular season with league games against Weber State (Nov. 13) and Portland State (Nov. 20). NAU will also travel to FCS runner-up Montana on Oct. 23 and play at Northern Colorado on Nov. 6.
