/ April 23, 2010
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern
Arizona junior men's basketball player Cameron Jones declared
for the 2010 NBA Draft Friday but will not hire an agent.
“My goal is to get my name
out and see if any teams are interested,” said Jones.
“It is mostly setting me up for life after my senior year of
college basketball. Putting my name in will get my name out there
and the scouts will be looking for me next year. I want to help my
opportunity after college and my senior season.'
The NBA Early-Entry Candidate
Deadline is April 25 and the withdrawal deadline is May 8.
Jones is scheduled to graduate in
May 2011 with a degree in history.
“There is motivation for
Cameron Jones to come back both academically and
athletically,” said Head Coach Mike Adras. “It is a
family decision. He wants to know what options he has and they are
positioning to help him in the future.”
