Women's Basketball Downed in Montana, 84-61

Box Score MISSOULA, Mont. - Northern Arizona women's basketball missed its sweep of Montana with an 84-61 loss in Dahlberg Arena on Saturday. The Lumberjacks defeated the Lady Griz at home on Jan. 13, 64-60.
NAU (7-15, 2-7 BSC) completed its three-gameroad trip on Saturday going 0-3 during that stretch and falling to 1-9 on the road during the 2010-11 season.
The Lumberjacks were down 16 points at the break after shooting 30 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes. NAU came out and hit 43 percent in the second half but allowed Montana to shoot 46 percent in the first half, 54 in the second, and 50 percent for the game.
The women finished with three players in double figures led by Amy Patton's 15 points off the bench. Tiffany Amos and Trinidee Trice finished with 10 points apiece to close out the Lumberjacks' in double digits.
Montana ended the game with four players in double figures led by Katie Baker's game-high 17 points off the bench. Torry Hill recorded 14 points while Kenzie De Boer finished with 13. Jordan Sullivan also chipped in 10 points off the bench. The Lumberjacks were outscored 49-29 off the bench on the night.
The women return home next week for two Big Sky Conference matchups. NAU plays Weber State on Thurs., Feb. 10 and Idaho State on Sat., Feb. 12. Both games are schedule for 6:35 p.m. tip-offs at the Rolle Activity Center.
