FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – In the latest preseason poll to come out, the Northern Arizona football team has been ranked 16^th by the College Sporting News. The Lumberjacks have also received a Top 20 preseason ranking from Athlon, Lindy's, The Sporting News and the FCS Coaches Polls.

NAU has completed one full week of fall camp, as it will open the season on Friday, August 30 at the University of Arizona. The Lumberjacks have nine returning starters on both sides of the ball, as they return one of the most experienced lineups in the Big Sky.

Four Lumberjacks – Zach Bauman, Anders Battle, Lucky Dozier and Andy Wilder – have all received preseason All-American honors. NAU also had a league-best six players selected to the All-Big Sky Preseason Team.
