'Jacks Lead Big Sky at Ron Moore Intercollegiate

DENVER, Colo. - Despite cold and windy conditions, Northern Arizona women's golf played their best round of the Ron Moore Invitational to tie for seventh. The 'Jacks came in with a score of 300 for today and a three-round total of 927 (+63).
"We just decided to play better today," said Head Coach Brad Bedortha of the 'Jacks 17-stroke improvement over yesterday. "We've had the capability but haven't been performing that well. We are finally putting it together and executing like we can on a regular basis."
Jacquie LeMarr jumped from 35th-place to 21st today with her day-two round of 73 (+1). For the tournament she posted a score of 229 (+13). Brittany McKee also posted one-over-par today and had a three-round score of 231 (+15). Kim Cifuentes posted 235 (+19) and Susana Mejia was 236 (+20). Sierra Bezdicek was 239 (+23).
The Lumberjacks ended up on top of the Big Sky despite trailing Northern Colorado for the first two rounds. The Bears ended up ninth with 932 (+68) while Montana State was 11th with 942 (+78) and North Dakota was 12th with 979 (+112).
Kansas State built on their day-two lead to take the tournament title with 877 (+13) and their Olivia Eliasson posted 213 (-3) to take the individual win.
The Lumberjacks have their last tournament of the fall schedule - the Caly Poly Firestone Grill Invitational - in Arroyo Grande, Calif. on Oct. 25-26.
