FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Phoenix Suns concluded their week-long training camp on Saturday with their public scrimmage. Thousands of fans packed the Walkup Skydome to get a glimpse at this year's Suns squad and was treated to a fun-filled scrimmage won by the Black Team, 86-79.

"(Today) was good, the guys worked hard," said Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek. "It is tough to come up here in elevation and have nine practices in five days, so I thought that they did great."

Between alley-oop dunks, three-pointers from long distance and everything in between, the on-court action was the highlight of the day for those in attendance. The Suns, who wrapped up training camp on the Northern Arizona University campus for the second straight year, also treated fans to a free post-game autograph session following a little dancing from the team's rookies.

At halftime, the crowd got its first public introduction of the NAU men's and women's basketball teams. The Lumberjack men's basketball team held their first practice of the season on Friday, while the Lumberjack women's basketball team will officially open practice Sunday morning.

Northern Arizona University is the Official Education Partner of the both the Phoenix Suns and the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury.
