FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona women's golf signed Tucson native Morgan Messick to their 2015-16 team. Head Coach Brad Bedortha praised Messick as being one of the top recruits in program history.

Messick has competed on multiple levels from high school and state to international. Her proudest moment was winning the AJGA Junior at Lone Tree earlier this year. It was one of four national tournaments she's competed at this year alone. On the state level, she won the JGAA Tucson Conquistadors Spring Classic and the JGAA Chandler City Junior Championship in 2014.

"I'm very for Morgan to join our program," said Head Golf Coach Brad Bedortha. "I've recruited her for years. She's a great person and she's obviously a great golfer. She is everything we're looking for in a student-athlete. She's a great player and she's going to be a huge addition to our program."

Messick graduates from Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson this spring and plans to major in marketing at Northern Arizona. She chose the 'Jacks because of the campus, rapport with the coach and team camaraderie.
