All-American Performances for Track & Field's Shrader and Laszczak

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the list of student-athletes who earned USTFCCCA All-America honors for the 2014 indoor season based on their performance at this past weekend's NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque, N.M.
First Team All-American honors were given to those who placed in the championships' top eight in an event or were a member of an eight-person final. Second Team All-American honors were earned by those who finished between ninth and 16th place. In addition, 14 men and four women earned honorable mention honors.
Brian Shrader garnered two All-American awards in recognition of his performance in both the men's 3000 and 5000-meter run. The junior was a First Team All-American selection in the 3000m run after finishing 8th with a time of 8:14.84. Shrader was awarded Second Team All-American status in the 5000m run thanks to a 14:21.11 effort good for 11th place.
Lauren Laszczak ended her indoor career as a Second Team All-American in the women's high jump. The senior cleared a best-height of 5-10 (1.78m) on the way to a 10th place finish at the NCAA Indoor Division I Track & Field Championships.
