Lumberjacks Unranked in Week Four NCAA Division I National Poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The week four NCAA Division I National Rankings were released Tuesday morning, with the Northern Arizona University men dropping out of the top-30 while the women's squad remains unranked.

In week three's poll, the Lumberjacks sat right on the cusp of the rankings at No. 30. However, with last weekend off from competition, the polls dropped NAU from that slot. The men did receive 10 points despite being idle for almost two weeks, which is only 13 points behind now-No. 30 Texas. The women's squad remained unranked once again this week, garnering five points for the third-consecutive poll and sitting 22 points behind No. 30 Alabama.

As has been the narrative all year in the men's national poll, Colorado secured the No. 1 position with 360 points and all 12 first-place votes. Stanford did drop from No. 2 to No. 4, but No. 3 Syracuse moved up one spot while Oregon jumped to No. 3. Iona slid up three positions from No. 8 to No. 5 this week, rounding out the men's top-five.

On the women's side, No. 1 New Mexico was the unanimous first-place selection with 360 points, followed by No. 2 Colorado and No. 3 Providence. The Oregon women also moved up in the rankings, coming in at No. 4, while last week's No. 4 Stanford fell to No. 9. Michigan also repositioned itself in the women's rankings, jumping from No. 8 to No. 5.

The Lumberjacks are preparing for their next team meet, the Adidas Invitational, on Friday, Oct. 16, in Madison, Wis. That race is slated for a 9 a.m. MST start, 11 a.m. local time.
