FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona volleyball team will learn their first round NCAA Tournament matchup this Sunday, Nov. 29 during the NCAA Volleyball Selection Show. The 'Jacks will be hosting a viewing party at the Oakmont Restaurant at Continental Country Club beginning at 6 p.m. and all of Lumberjack Nation is invited.

The viewing party will start with a social at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a short program at 6:30 p.m. The NCAA Selection Show, airing on ESPNU, announcing the 64-team field will air at 7 p.m.

The Lumberjacks are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1999, and just the second time in school history, after sweeping Idaho State last Saturday to win the Big Sky Championship. NAU, riding a 17-match win streak on its way to a 28-4 overall record this season, won both the conference regular season and tournament titles.

NAU did not drop a set en route to winning the conference tournament on its home court in the Rolle Activity Center last week, knocking off Southern Utah and Sacramento State prior to the championship match. Senior Janae Vander Ploeg was named the Big Sky Tournament MVP, while senior Payton Bock and juniors Lauren Jacobsen and Jensen Barton were also named to the All-Tournament Team.

The first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament will be held Dec. 3-5 at 16 campus sites across the country.
