Women's Hoops Finishes Week on Saturday Versus Dixie State in the Dome

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona women's basketball team plays their final non-conference home game on Saturday in the Walkup Skydome with Dixie State visiting Flagstaff. The Lumberjacks, 3-5 this season after a 90-66 loss to Colorado on Wednesday, will host the Red Storm at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Following Saturday's game, NAU will have just two remaining non-conference games before the holidays - and the Big Sky conference schedule - on the road at Nebraska and Iowa State.

Previewing The 'Jacks: The Lumberjacks were led by freshman Alyssa Rader and redshirt junior Shay Young on Wednesday at Colorado with the pair each recording career-best scoring games. Rader paced the 'Jacks with 27 points - her second consecutive 20-point game - and Young put in 18 points off the bench. Rader leads the team in both scoring and rebounding at 14.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Junior Rene Coggins and Brittani Lusain are each averaging at least 9.0 points per game for the season. Lusain leads the team with 28 assists.
Scouting Dixie State: The Red Storm brings a 1-6 mark into the Skydome and snapped their season-opening six-game losing streak last Saturday with a 79-69 win over Point Loma at home. Dixie State, a member of the Division II PacWest Conference, is led by Taylor Mann who ranks in the top four in her conference in both scoring and rebounding. The current PacWest Player of the Week averages team-highs of 17.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Leslie Tademy leads the team in both assists (33) and steals (16).
