ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Northern Arizona men's tennis team concluded their two-match weekend at the University of New Mexico in a neutral site matchup against Air Force. In the final match against Air Force, the Lumberjacks dropped a third set tiebreaker as NAU fell to Air Force 4-3.

Northern Arizona won its third doubles point of the season with wins on courts two and three, taking the early 1-0 lead in the match. Alexandre Locci and Jordan Gobatie got NAU their first win on the day on court two with a 6-3 victory over Andrew Parks and Max Olson. After Air Force came back to tie doubles at 1-1 with a win on court one, it was the NAU duo, Felix Schumann and Eden Peleg, on court three that gave the Lumberjacks the doubles point defeating Dillon Launius and Mark Kite 7-5.

Air Force needed four wins in singles to come back to defeat NAU and they got exactly four victories on courts one, two, six and clinched on court five. Northern Arizona's two wins in singles came from Locci and Gobatie. Locci got NAU's first win in singles defeating Olson 7-6 (3), 6-1. Gobatie extended the Lumberjacks lead to 3-2 with his third straight win in singles defeating Jack McCullers 6-4, 6-4.  

The Lumberjacks will be back in action next Saturday, Feb. 28, as they make their first trip to California to face Loyola Marymount.
